Fran is a true expressionist giving vibrant life to portraits, landscape, and still life in both pastel and oil. She has enhanced natural ability and self teaching by studying under a number of highly regarded contemporary artists including Ben Konis, Dorothy Barta, Paul Milosevich, Charles Movalli, Ann Tempelton, Doug Dawson, Ray Vanilla, and Alan Flattmann. Many of her landscapes are refinements of field sketches she makes while traveling. Her portraits capture hidden qualities of a variety of local models.

Her work, which combines a unique sense of composition and style, has been exhibited in competitive art shows in Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, and California. In many of these juried shows, both regional and national, Fran has won awards

Fran's paintings may be found in many private collections in the United States and abroad.
